Brian Lantelme has produced cover photos for the Styles section of The New York Times (see below), The Village Voice, New York Magazine and several other international publications.  He had a one-man exhibition of his work in New York City in 1994 entitled "The Times Square Show on Transsexual Identities" (see Village Voice review below) and received a Bronx Council on the Arts' Career Development Award that same year.  Mr. Lantelme is currently organizing - for publication - a collection of his photographs produced in the late 1980's to mid-1990's of "old" Times Square and the drag balls of Harlem.  Currently, his male erotic photography appears regularly in Black Inches Magazine and Latin Inches Magazine and he has just completed his first assignment for Playgirl Magazine.

"The theme of this exhibition centers specifically on the issue of sexual identity in the urban environment as expressed through drag, transgenderism, and pre-op transsexuality.  Portraits from the artist's studio and documentary material taken in-and-around the Times Square area are on view, including rare photos of many of the stars from the acclaimed documentary, "Paris is Burning" - Dorian Corey, Pepper LaBeija, Octavia St. Laurent, Carmen Xtravaganza and Angie Xtravaganza."  -- from the press release (July 1994)
